PlayStation® and Camp Woodward have created the PlayStation AM JAM to find the best up-and-coming talent in skate, skate vert and BMX. It's an amateur tour designed to encourage young riders, of all levels, from ages 7 to 18 to compete in a supportive atmosphere.
Entering it's 5th year on the road, the PlayStation® AM JAM will hit fourteen cities across the country. The events will be in an open jam format in Skateboard Park, BMX and Skateboard Vert (in parks with a vert ramp). Athletes will be judged on a number of criteria including technical skill, attitude, and style.
Participants in the PlayStation® AM JAM will receive cool prizes from PlayStation and Woodward. The BMX, Skate, and Skate Vert qualifiers at each stop will receive a PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system, three PSP videogames, and most importantly...airfare and a weeklong stay at Camp Woodward to compete in the PlayStation AM JAM Finals!
The winners of the PlayStation AM JAM Finals, to be held at Camp Woodward the week of Aug 10-16, 2008, will receive $5,000, a PLAYSTATION®3 system, and scholarship to ride at Camp Woodward East or West campuses for the entire 2009 season!
