When Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower first came out alongside the PSP, many gamers complained that it was difficult to pull off some of the game's special moves on the portable's control pad. For the Japanese release of Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max (Street Fighter Zero 3 Double Upper on the other side of the Pacific), Capcom included an adhesive D-pad cover with each copy of the game to address the issue.

Those D-pad covers are heading West, as Capcom is now offering them as pre-order bonuses for anyone purchasing Alpha 3 Max from its official Web site. In the listing on its Web store, Capcom points out that the pad "will work on most console and handheld systems on the market." However, the D-pad is not an officially endorsed Sony product, and its permanent adhesive could potentially void the warranty on the system.
