Dragon Ball Z fever has hit gamers hard. The brand has punched out dozens of games on several platforms, and recently battled for the first time on the DS with Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2. Now the series is making its debut on another handheld, the PSP.

Atari today announced Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai will be released this March. The game will feature 18 playable characters and will follow in the fighting footsteps of its forebears. Included will be counter attacks, high-speed bouts, and seven game modes. In addition to a single-player story mode, a wireless multiplayer mode allows gamers to battle each other head-to-head.

Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai is being developed by Dimps, the same company behind previous Dragon Ball Z games. Rating and pricing information have not yet been released.
