General Tips on Winning Races
Braking
Try not to rely to heavily on your brakes. If you let up on the gas during tight turns, it may not be necessary to use the brakes at all.
Jumping
Learning when to (and when not to) preload your ATV's suspension to jump higher is a very important part of this game. Sometimes a big jump is to your advantage, like when you can jump over a series of small hills in a single bound. There are other times when making big jumps will cause you to lose ground. Practice and learn the way that works best for you.
Landing Big Jumps
When landing from big jumps, try to tilt forward slightly so your front tires touch the ground first. This style of landing will allow you to retain more speed and keep better control of your ATV.
How to Jump Higher
Preloading your ATV's suspension is the best way to make huge jumps off of hills and ramps.
When to Preload
The bar to the left of your speedometer will turn green whenever it is possible to preload the suspension.
How to Preload
To preload your ATV's suspension: hold the D-pad or Left Analog Stick DOWN as you go up any incline in the game, and then push UP before your ATV's tires leave the ground.
Confirming Preload
A portion of the bar to the left of your speedometer will turn red when you successfully preload the suspension. A full red bar means you preloaded the suspension perfectly and got the highest possible jump.
Jumping Higher
You'll jump higher if you hold DOWN on the D-pad or Left Analog Stick as long as possible before pushing UP at the top of a hill or incline.
