Here are some tips to help make the most of archery.
Auto-Targeting Rynn can lock-on to targets with her bow by pressing . Switch to the next closest target by pressing . Press to fire arrows.
Manual Targeting Another way to target is to press to enter the first person view. In this view you see the world through Rynn's eyes. Target enemies by using the Left Analog Stick to move the targeting reticule onto an enemy and then press to fire. Rynn's has better accuracy with a bow in this mode, but her movement is also limited. The only way to move in first-person view in by pressing the Right Analog Stick left or right to sidestep. Press again to return to the normal view.
Lock and load Archery is handy for killing off enemies who cast spells. Approach an enemy until you can lock-on to them by pressing . Then, hold down so Rynn can sidestep by pressing or . Move from side to side to dodge the enemy's spells. Fire one arrow each time Rynn avoids an incoming spell, and then resume moving from side to side until it's safe to fire another arrow. Repeat this to slay spell-casters without getting hit!
Why Master Archery? While it may not seem the most important skill in the game, archery has a lot to offer. Rynn will not run out of arrows as quickly as she can use up her mana casting spells. Also, many of the higher level bows use magical arrows with spectacular effects. It's well worth the skill points that are required to use these bows.
