Not for those who hate slow guns

by Nate-The-Hunter Aug 20, 2009, 5:11 PM PDT

This game is pretty decent. Most people who like to play call of duty will rent or buy this thinking that they will get a shoot em up game with gatling guns all over the place. The guns in this game actually reload alot faster than real guns of this sort (Muskets, lever guns, etc.) You play as a different person each time because this game tries to be historically acurrate. People didnt really live long while fighting the Civil War so..... yeah. Also, there wasnt a unit in the Civil War that fought every major battle which is another reason why you play as a different person each time. They tried to cover every major battle of the Civil War and did it fairly well. I'd recommend that you just rent this game first, and then see if you like it. Try and see the good parts in it and you might like it. It will give you an excuse to play games as a means of studying for a history test XD. Dont even bother renting this game if you hate history stuff or the old west. Overall, fair game. Also, this game only costs somewhere around $15 new. And the guy below me is probably thinking of Civil War secret missions for the PS2. That game sucked royally.

Activision's worst game ever!

by RavenSoul63 Jun 16, 2009, 1:27 PM PDT

All of the AI's look identical. You play a different person in every mission, and you don't know the names of your team mates, so you don't care when they die. Reloading your weapon takes forever which takes away from the thrill of combat, and every single time you reload, some random guy runs up and whacks you with the butt of his rifle. You are alone for most of the game, as all of your guys die off pretty early in the battle. There is minimal cover from your enemies, and you end up having to hide behind a tiny object like a stick in the ground in order to survive. The acting, graphics, cutscenes, gameplay, and the ending all suck. I bought this game because I thought it would be like Call of Duty, but it was a waste of forty dollars. This game is not worth the money!
