Best Baseball Game I have ever played!!!

by mikejthebear Sep 9, 2009, 12:51 PM PDT

This is truly the best baseball game I have ever played. I played 2k9 a while before I tried The Show and and have not played 2k9 since. I have not played ANY other game since. I love the Road to the Show. It is very real. I will however have to agree with some of the other complaints.

The way the infielder has to stop running to catch the ball before he throws it. That is not very fluent like the players in the positions are in real life. I cant tell you how many double plays I missed out on. The whole lefty infielder debate is not a big deal for me but I did notice it. I also agree with the hair style comments. I also noticed that Manny Ramirez's Doo Rag stays blue no matter what team he is on. Just a little more attention to unnecessary details like that would be great additions to the quality of the game.

I believe that the overall playability is probably at about a 95% level compared to 2k9 I would rate at about a 75% reality level. Good Job overall.

My main suggestion that I would like to add is about the Road to the Show and Season Modes. I like the All Star voting and that you can play in the ASG if you are voted to play. I would love to see the Long Ball Competition in the Season. I know my Road to the show player would kill it. Prince Fielder cant beat me in this game. I want to play in the Home Run Derby.

A suggestion for those gamers that would like to come up to the majors a little quicker or have you attributes raise faster. I started my player as a outfielder that plays IF as a second position. It gives you more playing time to show and improve your skills. Experience leads to skills or Practice makes Perfect. It also helps to be a switch hitter that gives the manager more uses to have you on the team if you are not already a starter.

Back to the creators: What does it take to get into the HOF?? I have a very impressive resume but still falling short.

I hope this helps you all. Let me know if you have any answers for me or maybe if the tips help you any.

Stadium and team builder!

by twinsfan337 Aug 5, 2009, 1:51 PM PDT

The one thing that could make this game better would be, being able to create stadiums and teams! Just like in Madden, you should be able to start a franchise with a made up team and create a stadium. Baseball stadiums have the most veriety out of all sports, so let us make our own!

Lefty's play infield too!

by trujock22 Jul 24, 2009, 8:58 PM PDT

I've always loved the MLB games but have one big peeve. Why cant i create left handed throwing infielders? Its probably not that big of deal to most ppl but when i try and create myself as a left handed SS or 2B it wont let me. Just one small feature i would like to see added. ALSO while playing middle infield when your tryin to turn a double play its SUPER annoying when your player has to STOP RUNNING to catch the ball.
