Xianghua

Xianghua is probably one of the most evasive characters in the game. Her physical speed in the side-step and 8-way run make her very difficult to contain in one area. To make matters worse for her opponents, she has a very impressive collection of moves that take full advantage of the side-step and 8-way run.

In a more direct straight up game, Xianghua can rely on a large collection of moves that come out very fast and offer a lot of variety. Obviously, Xianghua does not just want to rely on sticking to a direct approach, but rather use her speed and 8-way run offense to control the orientation of the match and punish any whiffed moves.

Similar to Talim, adopting a constant stick and move approach will make Xianghua very difficult to contain. In fact, in a lot of ways she is better at this than Talim, as both Xianghua's physical and attack speed are tremendous in comparison.

Beautiful Rhythm (A, A, B)

Xianghua can be a very forgiving character for people who want as much speed and versatility for their buck when it comes to easily executable attack strings. Beautiful Rhythm, Elegant Rhythm (B, B), Advancing Rhythm (6, B, A), Deadly Rhythm (6, B, B), the incarnations of Playful Rhythm (6, 6, B, B), and Tzao Lan Hua Rhythm (A, A, 4, B, B) are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to simply executed, quick moves that can easily be altered to throw off an opponent's anticipation.

Beautiful Rhythm into Bea Her Hua (A, A, 2 (or 8))

"Didn't you just feature Beautiful Rhythm?" you might be asking yourself. Well, yes. Beautiful Rhythm into Bea Her Hua is important to mention here because it is a nice introduction to combining her side step game into her evasive offense. From Bea Her Hua you can go into Swallow Blade (Bea Her Hua, A) or Rhythm Blade (Bea Hur Hua, B), two basic moves that add to the mind game element and re-orientates the angle of the match.

Sweet Harmony (B cancel A, A)

One more example of how tricky Xianghua can be is in her Sweet Harmony, False Mirror (B cancel K, B) and False Mirror Feint (B cancel K, B, B) group of moves. Three moves, all start off looking like one move that cancel into another, which then can deviate into two other moves, which can then end on a third move. This is only meant as an example, she has a lot of simple quick deviating moves like this, so explore and experiment.
