Use Memory Cards

Memory cards are the storage media for your PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. Not only do you save and use game data from a memory card, but you can also delete game data or copy game data from one memory card to another.

To insert a memory card

Insert the memory card into the MEMORY CARD slot on the front of the PlayStation®2 system.

Note: Some discs designate a specific MEMORY CARD slot to use. Check the back of the packaging for details.

To save or load game data

The saving and loading procedure can vary depending on the memory card being used. Check the instructions supplied with the memory card for details.

To copy or delete game data:

  1. Turn on the PlayStation®2 system to display the main menu.
  2. Select Browser and press X Button.
  3. Insert a memory card.
  4. Select the icon for the memory card you want to copy or delete data from, and press X Button.
  5. Select the icon for the data saved on the memory card that you want to copy or delete, and press X Button:
  6. Select Copy or Delete and press X Button.
  7. If you are copying data, insert another memory card into a MEMORY CARD slot on the front of the system, select the icon for that memory card, and press X Button.
  8. Select Yes to confirm your choice and press X Button.
  9. When copying or deleting is completed, press O Button to return to the main menu.
