The PLAYSTATION®3 system gives you more ways to enjoy your music collection.

  • CDs
    Play your favorite CDs or rip them to the PLAYSTATION®3 system's hard disk drive (HDD).
  • Music saved to a USB device
    Just connect a compatible USB device, like a digital player or storage device, with saved digital music or audio and listen to it on the PLAYSTATION®3 system.
  • Music saved to the HDD
    The PLAYSTATION®3 system's massive hard disk drive (HDD) allows you to save and enjoy your digital music collection on PLAYSTATION®3 system anytime you like.
  • Album details
    Connect to the Internet2 to obtain detailed album information, including album title, artist and length of album.
  • Playlists
    Create playlists of your favorite songs and listen in the order you like best.
  • Watch while you listen
    Use the Visual Player while you listen to music. Select your favorite patterns and customize to your liking.
  • Listen while you view
    Play your favorite music while you watch slideshows or look at your pics.

A device compatible with Linear PCM 7.1 Ch. is required to output 7.1 Ch. audio, supported by Dolby TrueHD or a similar format, from the HDMI OUT connector. This system does not support output from the DTS-HD 7.1 Ch. DTS-HD 7.1 Ch. audio is output from a 5.1 or lower channel.
