Failed attempt at a decent game!

by Ziplord Nov 13, 2009, 3:40 PM PST

cool idea even though its a pirates rip-off...
you cant control the AI ships, the city upgrades and boat upgrades can be used by the AI which is a complete waste of the games resources...
completely out numbered on most of the maps even with your AI ships..
the game idea looked simple and fun but annoying and lame, a complete waste of money even at its low price...

No support kills game, wastes my money.

by UhZoomZip Oct 10, 2009, 1:52 AM PDT

This game was supposed to float by on the strength of it's rather casual-skill level multiplayer feature. However Capcom and Certain Affinity never addressed the multiplayer failures that occur in what seems like 33% of all users attempts. If lucky enough to search and find a multiplayer game to join, upon filling and starting said match, it drops my connection from the game, always stating to the effect: "User A has lost their connection to the server"

Some people have narrowed this down to Gamespy handling the multiplayer matchmaking, however not a single patch or fix for this well documented issue exists. Hopefully nobody else will waste their money on this rushed game that was never supported by it's own Pub or Devs. Shameful behavior that lowers the profile of all PSN games.

Addictive aggravation!

by jsinex2421 Jul 7, 2009, 9:21 AM PDT

Very addictive! I wish they would have added a little more of a sustainable area. Something you could build and come back to while dominating the high seas! The AI can be a little aggravating at times, other than that a stellar PSN exculsive!

A Cool Party Game

by ManOfValor1 Jul 4, 2009, 6:33 PM PDT

I didn't think that I would like this game as much as I do because I looked it up on Youtube first. Looks can be quite deceiving. Its 4 player on the same system offline or online which is very cool. It has tons of add-ons. I has tons of trophies. The gameplay is very addictive and the graphics is state of the art. The demo does not do the game justice. Buy the full game!
