Not Worth the Price Tag.

This title had so much potential, but this far into the current generation console, the glitches that showed up in-game, were too much. Driving controls sucked, and it seemed as though you suffered last-gen graphics if you don't game on an HDTV.

Rather lame.

Every mission is just about the same, go and kill or destroy the target, and then most of the missions have three levels. It becomes more of the same, of the same, of the same.

A better title might have been Mercenaries 2: World of Repitition.

A lot of fun, but I wasn't satisfied with it.

There's a lot to say about timing ... of anything really.
This title I was really excited for ever since I had heard about it back in 2007. I waited and waited and it finally came and was a blast to play. Then after a month or so of game play the actions seemed to be repetitive. Clear this check point for this faction, buy their stuff, and then go kill some of these other guys for them to earn their trust only to stab them in the back later for some other faction that you're earning trust for. On and on .... I finally finished the story line but noticed Sony had come out with trophies for the game. Timing .. things I'd already done weren't saved as a trophy but others were. Go figure. I give it 4/5 because it really was a fun game until the repetition got to me. It's cool to blow stuff up and have different character type classes to do it. It's also cool they semi-merge rpg and action shooter combat into one game. If I could go back in time I would have saved my money.

Cheats

dont use the cheats. i used them and now i cant recieve the trophies. if anybody knows of another reason why this happens it would be appreciated

well i was excited and then, i played the demo and i was not thrilled, if the games anything like the demo, you may not want it, rent it first, i think the first mercs was better

This game is one of the best I have the campaign is very fun. I love how you can call for vehicles just like in Mercenaries 1. Definitely get this game! Out of 10 I'd give it a 9.6
