A new hope parte 2

by Fighting_Hawk Nov 18, 2009, 2:00 PM PST

SUPPORT: A common favorite. Armed with a light macine gun (LMG) this class has the ability to rip through infantry and an unlockable morter strike. On the less lethal side of things things this class has a medic kit that can heal you and other players on your team. This class also has a Power tool wich allows you to repair vihecals and destroy enemy vihecals. This class is usefull for all levels of expirience. Onto online gameplay. There are to modes, Gold Rush and Conquest. In gold rush attackers have to destroy the gold crates and defenders have to defend the gold crates, Simple, WRONG. Attacker have a number of renforcments, that number olny goes up if youe team destroyes gold crates. Defenders don't have a limite, if you kill one the only thing you damageis his/her ego (wich can be effective). But at the pace the game is played that does not mater and even less have enough time to make a difference. Conquest, Basically you need to captur flags or kill of all of the enemy. Thankx for reading sorry it was long but hey, i;m just trying to help

good single-player kick-ass online

by Warpig_qc Jul 13, 2009, 9:20 PM PDT

the single-player mode is cool, it has a reasonnable lenght and is pretty fun to play. But the real reason to buy this game is for the online multiplayer. It is so much fun, you just can't get enough of it, with all the unlockables and the achievements your gonna pass a lot of time on this game. But I was a bit disappointed by the destruction, it sure is a lot of fun to blow up a wall but before I bought this game I thought the buildings could collapse but it is not the case. Good thing that in Bad Company 2 they will collapse! can't wait for this game.

A mess of fun

by Sabremoe Dec 25, 2008, 7:34 PM PST

Single Player Mode is a lot of fun, it's a great attempt on bundling a story for what is essentially a made-for-online game.

Although it can get so laggy it's nigh unplayable at busy times (or normal UK waking hours), the Multiplayer Mode is fantastic. The player base also seem to be a lot more casual than Call of Duty: World At War (on the XBox 360, at least), so the playing field (or battlefield?) is a lot more even, making the competition more fun than frustrating.

The maps are great in size for the maximum number of players per team, and they never feel restricted whether you're on foot or in a vehicle. The freedom to be able to shape new access routes also adds another level of fun - pesky sniper hiding behind a wall while shooting at your mate through another window? No problem, just blow up the wall to get to him.

The game also seems to be much more forgiving when it comes to getting stuck on objects such as ammo crates, while the other game mentioned before would have you stopped dead if your little toe gets caught on a slightly raised section of the floor, Bad Company will allow you to either run over or slowly slide on it so you'd know it's there without wearing a Lawnmower Man Suit.

3.5/5 - Great game, shame about the incredibly horrid lag! The ability to mute individual players (nobody wants to hear you hum the in-game music) wouldn't go amiss either.

Avoid at all costs now.

The online is the point that holds this game back now. I was pumped about this game. The story was hilarious, online was excellent until about mid august or september. then, nobody played it online. so, you can't create your own server. you can't pick where you want to go. so i've only played about 40 or 50 games online because of their horrible design on online. this game doesn't deserve the horrible online packaged with it. it is horrible.

Story-5 stars

Overall-1.5 stars

Learn from your mistakes EA, and don't ever design an online experience like this!

Online fun, destructible environments a treat...

by VariantNecrosis Nov 27, 2008, 8:22 AM PST

This was a sequel to the Battlefield series that was something to be longed for - as long as you buy for the online and trophies you should be ok. The online has a lot of variety with classic conquest game mode, not much is missed and although some features are missing from previous iterations of the series (prone, parachutes, etc) this game is still very fun online and it has 24 players per match so it keeps you playing for more and more as the game moves on & progresses. If you are undecided about a decent FPS then look no further, this one is great to buy for online multiplayer support alone - if you are looking into a single player campaign, buy resistance 2 instead. Otherwise very fun and long lasting, Bad Company delivers in almost every way in the online category alone! Fantastic support by EA on this one, 5/5. :)
