Everyday Shooter

1 of 2

Description

Developed solely by Jonathan Mak, Everyday Shooter won three awards at the Independent Gaming Festival at the 2007 Game Developers Conference. Unlike traditional arcade shooters, the sound effects in Everyday Shooter play in musical harmony with the game’s background music. Throughout Everyday Shooter’s album of games, typical arcade sounds of destruction are replaced with guitar riffs harmonizing over an all-guitar soundtrack.

Independant awesomeness!

by redshoepaul Jun 8, 2009, 6:58 PM PDT

Mr. Mak is one talented developer! With this game, he brought so many elements to the table and all have been pulled off perfectly! The music is so relaxing, and is perfect for a casual sit down by yourself and play. Even though it's not graphically compared to some big named games, Everyday Shooter makes up for it through replayability.

an innovative, post-modern take on the dual-stick shooter genre

by plaztiksyke Feb 10, 2009, 1:04 PM PST

There are lots of dual-stick shooters on PSN, but this one is the best. The unique visual design, guitar music-orientation, and tongue-in-cheek mechanics make for a great game.

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is the lack of trophies and lossless audio. While the music sounds better than some other games on PSN, there's no reason this can't be 24-bit lossless. I would love to see a patch that adds trophy support, revisiting the game to finish can become a little tedious without trophies to motivate the player.

Everyday Awesome!!

by TheBananastrings Dec 24, 2008, 9:16 PM PST

This game takes the classic shooter formula & adds a creative & clever sound element to the game play as you destroy your seemingly endless number of enemies. This game is quite challenging the music will make you want to come back for more.

Excellent game at an equally excellent price. Way to go Playstation Network.

Download today & you'll be hooked.

ROCK ON!!

Fun game

by JohnnyDeath Nov 24, 2008, 1:38 PM PST

It's a cool clone of Super Stardust HD, but it has trippy graphics and music. The only downside is that your options in this game are limited to moving, shooting, or not shooting.
