Good game. But, it's very short with nothing new.

by Amir29 Dec 03 2008 04:58 PM

God of War has changed the standard at which hack n slash games are made. This one mostly mirrors that of God of War, but unfortunately it just isn't as good or satisfying.

The cut-scenes and voice acting are top notch. But aside from that, you'll constantly be reminded of God of War and feel you are playing a generic version of that game. However, the game is good and fun. Just know that it can be beat in around 10 hours. So, take a look at your funds before purchasing this to determine whether $60 is worth 10 hours of solid entertainment.

I loved it

the game was great especially the part when you controlled the arrows. the only problem was it was way to short and not enough boss fights. i liked it a lot, i had fun with the grapple moves once you learned the controls it was very exciting to play.

Short and sweet

Heavenly sword is an excellent action game. The combat is accessible but still has a certain depth to it. Being able to switch between the three different stances, which coincide with the three different configurations of the Heavenly Sword Nariko wields, allows for a lot of variation in combat. The game isn’t very long, but it more then makes up for it with the great story, graphics, characters, game play, and some very challenging boss fights. Hopefully this isn’t the last we see of the Heavenly sword.

All style, little substance

The game looks great; it's just not fun to play because the combat controls feel laggy, and it really does feel like you can mash your way through most of it.

I immediately stopped playing this game once I had better options.
