A lot of fun!

by Davethedog Jun 25, 2009, 10:28 AM PDT

We love this game! It's alot of fun when friends are over and everyone enjoys playing. The learning curve is a little steep at first but you'll get the hang of it in no time. It's great because it's challenging enough that strikes don't come easy but fun enough to keep you playing. The custom lanes are great and the characters keep us laughing, even though they are the strangest bunch I've seen in a game. DLC is cheap and they seem to release good amounts every once in a while. It's almost two years old and it still gets support. My only complaint is that it doesn't have 4 player online multi. It would be great if my girl and I could play against my bro and his girl online but it's a no go. Other than that, lots of fun! Oh yeah, don't forget that it supports in game music from your XMB!

easy, fun online play and

by plaztiksyke Jun 11, 2009, 12:50 PM PDT

I really don't care for sports games, in general. The last sports game I liked was Quidditch World Cup on XBox. High Velocity Bowling is fun, makes innovative use of the SixAxis controller, and looks/sounds pretty decent. What puts it over the top is the easy online play and trophy support.

If I had one complaint it would be that the music played in the alleys sounds pretty low quality compared to the rest of the sound assets in the game. Also, with my PS3 set to decode to Linear PCM over HDMI, it doesn't sound like I'm getting the presence and spatial accuracy I would expect from a DTS sound asset.

Please update the game!

by Jug_Almighty Jun 9, 2009, 10:29 PM PDT

I love this game and ever since it went online I thought that it could use and update where you could play with up to about 3 other people. That would be superb!! Also tournaments would be great. Could someone please chill out on making new characters for a while and look into that? Oh and speaking of new characters it doesn't make sense to get new characters and bowling balls if you can't show them off online. They shouldn't be invisible. Also what's with no custum music while chat is on? If these things get addressed in an update this game would be perfection!

A game for the WHOLE FAMILY!!

by LeNeuf Apr 5, 2009, 3:57 PM PDT

My 5 yr old son plays for HOURS! We have a great time playing together! Sony, remember that all ages play on your system, and younger children need fun games(like this one) to play.
I have seen people complaining about its simplicity(and not just this game), but that is what makes the game so great.
SONY(invent a tether for your controller)
