Love The Show!

by ChiSox59 Jul 23, 2009, 7:48 PM PDT

Love the show but not sure why I get a network error when I try to access it to try a play on-line. It was working but have not been able to access the web fo awhile now. All other networking aspects on my PS3 are working fine.

Pitching too hard

by ak_rays Apr 25, 2009, 4:34 PM PDT

The pitching is way way way too hard in this game. A lot of things need to change in the next edition. Attention EA Sports bring back MVP immediately if not sooner please!

Still Addicted After a full YEAR!

by KitWan7 Apr 18, 2009, 1:48 PM PDT

Obviously, it's the game that only 2K wouldn't like, as it's taking their customers (and money).

Writing on April 18, 2009, I want 09 so badly. I need that game because:
1) $60.00 is overpriced for 2K's piece of crap.
2)This game is the best sports game out there, even better than the college football games from EA.

The ability to make your own player and use him in a career is nifty, especially since the Create-a-Player is so deep. You could make someone as recognizable as Vlad, if your willing to try and do better than the developers did.

Franchise is the most addictive. Stadium maintenance, TV Contracts, Promos, lineups... the choice (as always) is even more yours. Small issues include:
1)No saving in offseason.
2)EXTREMELY frequent injuries during simulation.
3)Unrealistic stats, such as Alex Gordon hitting .320 and in the All-Star Game, or an ace like Cole Hamels on the trading block and having an ERA as low as .240 while on it.
4)TV Contracts are unrealistically simple. EX: The Twins getting their starting contract offer small-time, and not even across the state border.

The basic gameplay is great, and can even be frustrating if you're having a bad game JUST because you chose to pitch that high-and-inside 2-Seamer. However, that's something that makes it so fun.

4 stars, but had potential for 4.5

Not Realistic at all

by Derekjeterkid2 Apr 6, 2009, 8:01 AM PDT

This game is all over the place, choppy game play, not enough tweak options, the sliders dont seem to have a drastic impact, to hard even on veteran mode, check swing is garbage, internet play is horrible

bunts almost always go fair with 2 strikes

bret gardner can only hit balls to the warning track

5 hr's were hit againsted me with CC Sabathia only on veteran mode

Video games are supposed to be fun

if you have played baseball your whole life at advanced levels you will understand this is not the most realistic baseball game ever

BRING BACK MVP EA SPORTS!!!
