Naruto Fighting done right.

To start this off, I am going to go into detail about the fighting system of this game. Naruto has finally gone away from the linear fighting style (Think of a Street Fighter, Soul Calibur game: only going closer or away from the opponent) and now allows for a full 360 degrees area to fight in..
The game goes over the first half of Naruto (before Shippuden). The game covers a lot of the story, and keeps it interesting with side quests and little, tedious tasks to get items and ryo (currency). The game keeps tabs on everything you do in that game. You can even see how many steps you took while walking around Konoha.
Fighting is basic for the controller. Once you learn the combination of buttons to use, the fighting is overall simple to do. There are some major story scenes in which it's all quick time events (watching a scene that makes you press buttons to continue the scene). As long and hesitant quick-times are, they are rather simple to predict. They all coordinate to the buttons for fighting (Triangle for any jutsu, Circle for physical attacks, etc.). After awhile, it may get to a point where it's your favorite character with that spammed sequence of -O, Tri., X........- to win a game, but that tends to happen.
Overall the game has been made very well. I just hope that Namco Bandai will do to this game that the DBZ games are doing for the PS3, i.e. Make a game for the system that doesn't included everything, but make the next one with all the characters and story lines.
