DIsappointment from first snow flake.

This game is horribly glitch ridden.

* Be it the bad graphic in 1080p! How can someone be standing on a board on the snow and have a foot gap below the board and snow pack?
* Bad collision detection (how can I be half way inside a fallen tree!).
* Ability to get stuck in terrain and NEVER get out of it (ain't fun to watch your guy or gal stand there and hop up and down.. its even better when another person gets stuck with you!)

UbiSoft must be sad that their name is associated to this title.

The patch didn't fix enough to make this a game that I would suggest anyone other than a Shaun White die hard even put in their PS3.

Fun for a little while. Waste of money... NOT an SSX. NO OFFLINE

by Dannyr326 Jul 23, 2009, 10:37 AM PDT

I was very disappointed when I played this game. I was hoping this game would at least be as good as SSX but i was wrong. Its fun for a little while then gets frustrating and boring. There is no multiplayer offline so u cant chill with people and race. The missions are kinda lame. The graphics are pretty awesome but the gameplay is not even close.
I dont understand why people like the snowball fighting so much. its cool but dumb in races.

Waste of time !

Frustrating issues make Shaun White Snowboarding seem less like a downhill rush and more like an uphill grind.

WARNING: Highly addictive online xD

SWS is one of the greatest games my PS3 has had inside.

Graphics: probably not the best around, but they are pretty good.

Gameplay: At the beggining is kinda hard landing and spinning, but you get the hang of it eventually, and it feels great. Not too difficult, not easy either. You can also customize your rider and your gear, show your style.

Soundtrack: It has great songs that make the riding more fun. Metro Station, MGMT, Audioslave, Incubus, AntiFlag and Modest Mouse are some of the bands you will be listening to. (You can turn the music off too)

Storyline: This is not an RPG but a simple snowboarding game, so the storyline is porbably the less important thing. Even tough, the story will lead you to a series of difficult challenges and competitions. You're gonna be busy for a while.

ONLINE: This is the golden feature of SWS. You wanna become the best? You gotta ride against people around the world, and it becomes addictive. The game has also around 100 trophies to unlock.

If you like extreme sports and chilling at home playing online, this is a great option.
