Awesome Game!

by ROCKO94 Sep 1, 2009, 2:01 PM PDT

One of the best modern war games out there on the market. Has a great story mode in solo. It includes day and night missions testing your stealth skills. Great graphics and great sound effects. They have a veriety of weopons of both solo and multiplayer. Multiplayer is great but it could be better.
Graphics on multiplayer are lets say are 6.5 or 7 out of 10. You can choose different camo suits for different terains online. And also different weopons for different tasks on the battle field. You can choose to be a rifleman, marksman, auto rifleman, and a grenader.
You can also go up in ranks online depending on if you win battles or missions online. And you can decrease in rank by losing. It usually takes up about 10 min to update your rank and stats.
Also about the clans you could create a clan or join a clan. But to join you have to be asked by the comander of the clan. The commander can also rank you up to an oficer in your clan so it gives you power to start recruiting soldiers. You can also have clan wars usually the comander will send you a message saying when and where is the clan war.
All in all this is a great game i usually play it online so i know more about it in online. But i have beat the whole story mode and its great. 5 out 5 star game!

Entertaining game with an anti-climactic ending...

by Helmetz Aug 19, 2009, 2:31 PM PDT

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 the sequel to Ubisoft's 2006 smash title released for the Xbox 360, PS2 and PC. You take the control of Captain Scott Mitchell and his fellow 5th Special Forces Group members (commonlys referred to as the Ghosts) in the midst of a border warfare between the US and Mexico. You'll be given a variety of combat weapons to help achieve objectives from elite night time solo missions to leading a mini army to take out specific targets. Where the game really shines is the ability to control your supporting cast. You can point and click to give directives or your can look through the first person view of said supporting members. Trying to micro manage two squad teams, an APC and a mini chopper can get a bit hectic, but once you get used to the gameplay mechanics, you should have no trouble with guiding these members to help you create some heavy damage.

Although the game feels like a port, the controls are very responsive. Character models and environments look good for a ported game from a year ago, however, empty levels leave more to be desired. The sound is great as all weapons and vehicles are on par with their real world counterparts. The story, unfortuenately, leaves a bit more to be desired as your over the top eccentric commander will send you on numerous missions in search of the dreadful WMDs. Once you finally destroy last of the dooms day devices your congratulated with the all popular anti-climactic endings that can really hurt the overall experience of the game.

If you're interested in stealth, action war-themed shooters, GRAW2 may provide you with an enjoyable weekend with it's fairly solid single player campaign. The game does offer multiplayer, but I've had no luck of participating in any matches. Good luck finding a server :?

overall Score: 8.2

Could be better But it's GOOD

by redsnaper Jun 16, 2009, 9:36 AM PDT

I've played this game, and I must say that is a good tactical shooter, I love the fact that in the game you can choose your weapons and your squad members. I'd be better with more missions and more command options. Even though, it's a pretty good game all around.

Great Game!

by Bomberwhale May 31, 2009, 2:10 PM PDT

I bought this game because i heard alot about GRAW so I bought it to see what it was like. Im glad to have tried this game out because its a great 3rd person shotter and the squads are the best!

Some flaws about multiplayer is you cant see yourself, you can't use the surroundings as cover unlike in the solo campaign, its a little bit slower, and you die alot faster!

But, im still glad i bought it! The looks for your character in multiplayer is kind of dumb. You cant pick your clothes and armour but you can change your face, mask, and gun. Id say just by the looks of things I think theres way more blood in the multiplayer than the solo campaign.

Through the flaws and good things about GRAW2 its a PS3
MUST BUY!
