Ready to start using your PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system?
XMB / Home Menu
The PLAYSTATION®3 home menu is the main screen of the XMB (XrossMediaBar)
user interface. The home menu is the starting place for many PLAYSTATION®3
functions. It consists of categories spread horizontally across
the screen, which includes: Users, Settings, Photo, Music, Video, Game, Network
and Friends.
The categories are selected by scrolling through using the 
(right) and 
(left) directional buttons. When selected, each category
displays a vertical column with associated items that can be performed
under that category. To select an item, scroll through the vertical
column using the 
(up) and 
(down) directional
buttons. Press the 
button to
select an item and display its options. Press the 
button
to cancel or go back.

PLAYSTATION®3 system software is updated, the User’s Guide will also
be updated, so keep your system software up-to-date and check back
for the latest additions to the User’s Guide.
