Stick to medal of honor for psp

by GaseousTangent Apr 28, 2009, 3:44 PM PDT

Psp was never know for FPS games because of its lack of a controler stick but medal of honor over came that and made a great fps game. When i popped in COD roads to victory i didnt get what i expected. When your playing through out the campain your game may freeze causing you to restart the whole system making it annoying. The aiming system well make you a little made and emabarresed of a CALL OF DUTY game. Because you have a auto lock system which will automaticly snap on to a enemy. This makes the game to easy and plus after you locked on to a target and fire, your gun will not move but the enemy will still die. This makes you not have the enjoyment of a game like Medal of honor. Of course you can turn the feature off but this makes the game hard and almost impossible to play. But i still get alot of enjoyment from the game, cod roads to victory gives you a large pick from ad-hoc mulitapalyer and there are bonus things like giving you info on some of the guns that were used in ww2. And the graphics are ok for a psp game. If you got the cash on you i think you should get cod roads to victory but only do if you got mdal of honor for psp first.

Decent

by MKULTRABLIZZARD Feb 19, 2009, 7:16 PM PST

'elitegamer56' is bang on with his review of this game. Not having played any other FPS other than Socom FTB2 I really can't compare it to much. That said, I agree that the graphics are just 'okay.' Same goes for the story. Maybe it's me, but it took some time getting used to the controls (I was used to the Xbox controls). Once 'memorized' it made for better play and I enjoyed playing the game quite a bit. The game overall is rather short but long enough to keep you interested. One of the better parts of the game is manning the turrets in the plane. Overall the game is decent. My biggest bone of contention was not so much the loading (it's not nearly as bad as Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition) but rather the game would stall while saving/loading when you hit checkpoints. The stall would render the PSP useless and it would shut off. Super annoying but I have read previously that the game had these bugs when you hit the mid-way point.

Okay

by elitegamer56 Nov 26, 2008, 6:16 PM PST

One word describes this 1st person shooter: Okay. Not that many 1st person shooter games for the PSP and the reason for it is because the PSP isn't really ment for it. But this game is an exception. The Call of Duty Franchise comes to the PSP and brought it's amazing WW2 formula to the portable arena. The gameplay is a bit off compared to other Call of Duty games because the PSP has only one toggle stick and has less buttons. One of the really annoying things about the game is that the game is awfully slow. You walk like a snail and when you are trying to take cover from nazis you will be killed a couple of times and you will tend to get mad. The game sometimes pauses out of nowhere so it can load which also slows the tempo of the game. The story is pretty boring and uninteresting. The graphics mediocre. Even with all of these mistakes the game is a pretty okay 1st person shooter. If you love first person shooters and you have a PSP this game might be worth buying.
