A fabulous update of a classic... now please release it for down

by Periastron Oct 5, 2009, 2:20 PM PDT

I realise that the original Final Fantasy Tactics is already available as a PSOne download for the PS3 and PSP, but for PSP users, the revised edition makes much better use of available space on the screen--and includes a VASTLY better English translation. I would buy this version all over again for my PSPgo, if it were made available as a download edition.

My idea might be lame(you've been warned but please read and tell me what you think):

i was thinkin they should make another one with enhanced graphics and more characters from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and A2, vagrants story, and all other final fantasies. combine them and have humans, bangaas, vierra, and other species,More bosses like Chaos, zeromus, cloud of darkness, the undying. add more jobs like blue mage, and viking, also allow generic character to have special classes like holy knight by a series of battle, requirements, journeys.

I'm honored to be able to play this legend! >:)

by GamerWatcher Feb 23, 2009, 4:15 PM PST

This is an awesome remake of legend, a game in which I never had the chance to play :(
Oh well, at least to this one I can AT LEAST play the remake, in which from what I've heard, the story elements have changed quite a lot (The text has been changed FROM what I've heard), and I like the medieval-flair text, it suits it like a gauntlet. At first, I thought it was like that, but then I realized that the lag that appears during a magick, skill, etc. didn't happen to the original, which I'm not surprised, and that also makes it that the special sound effects of THOSE skills and stuff are off, Example: When the skill animation is HALF over, the sound that is supposed to accompany it is already finished, but I'm used to it and it's an exaggeration to say that it breaks the game, I mean, I understand if you already played the original and expect nothing more than polished quality, but I guess it coudn't be helped...
The story is incredibly large-scale and moody in nature, resulting in QUITE a lot of stuff, plus there's so many characters that I constantly check who's who in the VERY handy Chronicles menu option (Hooray for convenience ^_^). Also, I FIRST played BOTH of the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance games, in which to the Tactics veterans should have NO problem winning heheh, which are baby games compared to this one's insane difficulty (for me, ehh :P), so yeah, I guess you could say I'm kind of an amateur...
Anyway the variety is great, the pace is fantastic (FOR ME), and the only true problem I find is that there aren't that many jobs... But then again this ain't like the last two, in which you can master jobs VERY easily and quickly, so it's quite worthwhile. The main character is very likeable and has a modest-like personality, but with a strong (how should I say it?) demeanor, with powerful foundations in which I could compare them to my own :P.
All in all, I highly recommend anyone to try this if you're itching for strategy, but be warned, this ain't no walk in the park, NEWBIES ARE WARNED!!!
P.S. Please reviewers get more inside-out and spell grammar correctly, ok? Thanks a lot! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

The new stuff is a bit unbalanced

by JohnnyDeath Nov 24, 2008, 1:40 PM PST

Other than that, it's just as good as the original. Personally, I felt that there was a very good reason why only Gafgarion was a Dark Knight in the original, but now anyone can become one.

Better than the original.

A big improvement from the original game, especially when it comes to replay value and multiplayer.
