IAM SICK OF WAITING ANY LONGER FOR THIS!!!! IVE PLAYED THE DEMO ATLEAST 43 TIMES CUZ I WANT TO PLAY IT SO BAD BUT U GUYS ARE TAKING SO LONG JUST HURRY UP AND POST IT!!!!!!!! U BETTER HAVE IT UP ON 11/22 OR I WILL SELL MY PSP AND PS3 AND BUY AN XBOX OR A WII CUZ WHEN THEY SAY A GAME IS COMING OUT ON THS DAY IT DOES UNLIKE U GUYS AND UR DELAYS FOR ALL THE GOOD GAMES! also i found out why the delay
so PLZ READ THS EVERYONE---------------LittleBigPlanet soundtrack apparently includes sung words from the Qur'an, which may have caused the game's delay...Posts on PlayStation forums are pointing to a delay for LittleBigPlanet mere days before it's supposed to hit shop shelves, One post in particular has pointed to a possible reason for the delay, referring to a thread in the forums that voiced concerns over one of LittleBigPlanet's levels. Music from the level is said to include sung words from the Qur'an, an act that may be deemed offensive to members of the Muslim community. The thread was consequently locked down by moderators, according to the post.
Industry sources have also told TVG that this is the reason for the delay, while pointing out that it may only be a week or two
We've contacted Sony for comment and currently await a reply.
[UPDATE] Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has now issued a statement on the issue:
"During the review process prior to the release of LittleBigPlanet, it has been brought to our attention that one of the background music tracks licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur'an. We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologise for any offence that this may have caused"
SCEE confirms that a new release date for the game is currently being re-scheduled. SOOOOOO THIS IS THE STUPID REASON WHY WE ARE WAITING....THX ALOT SONY
