a truley epic masterpiece

by clownfreak9000 Nov 11, 2009, 4:38 PM PST

this add-on to the first is truly a great work of art all its own with all the new people new weapons and new maps this is all out great game that is well worth the 20 dollar charge for the game this game will keep you entertained for hours on end. this is one of the very very few games that i give 4.5/5 stars to for any war game fan this is a must own the online mode is the simply amazing in terms of gameplay and graphics i really hope that if you are reading this than you check the game out the one flaw is no story mode but other than that it is truly amazing mgs has certainly came along way from the first installment keep it up .

One Of Those Great Games We All Love

by dualshock22-F3 Oct 3, 2009, 11:36 AM PDT

This series is amazing, it has really evolved in to something great, but...it really has no story and every Metal Gear game has a triumphing story to it. So here's my review, the game has the style of stealth, metal gear was the first action stealth video game ever to be released. To be on the PSP was probably like re-releasing it on the NES all over again, but better! The graphics are traditional metal gear graphics and exceed the PSP's greatest graphics capability. The graphics are the most stunning I've seen since the release of the first Syphon Filter for the PSP which was Dark Mirror. The gameplay was actually that great, the button coordination was just right and everything was picture perfect, until online happened............online gameplay is great but it froze a lot and took up a lot of power for it to play online, but i liked it still. The sound was amazing like every metal gear game, the thing about metal gear is that they don't need a sound track. The music matched the every mood of the game. The features were great, new characters, new missions, training, cheat code entry, and more. Well Thats my Review!

Lots of flaws and a couple of perks

by VIMProductions Aug 5, 2009, 1:59 PM PDT

There are loads of flaws and Perks with Metal Gear Portable Ops Plus:
1. No Story At All
2. Boring and repetative levels
3. Over exaggerated hand to hand combat (Hit a guy once and he'll flip all over the place)
4. A few idiotic items to use
5. Constant need of rations and lack of them in levels just sucks
There are only two things that make up for these
1. Great graphics
2. Awesome Multiplayer

I prefer story to mindless multiplayer mayhem...

by UptonEMT Jul 7, 2009, 7:48 PM PDT

I won't lie and spout off misspelled sentences, claiming this game to be "the best game in the histery of games!!!", but I will say I had fun playing this game. I had fun for about 20 minutes. Then I got tired of the repitition. In Portable Ops PLUS, you simply go through random maps and find the advance point, capturing items and team members to build up your squad of yadda yadda yadda until the end of time. What was REMOVED for some strange reason from the original Portable Ops was the story of Naked Snake after getting the title of Big Boss, despite the fact he does not feel he has yet surpassed The Boss. Hideo Kojima and Metal Gear weren't popular because they were amazing multiplayer games, they were popular because they were great stories with amazing depth. So to cut out the greatest part of a Hideo Kojima game seems a crime to me. Avoid this game, pick up Portable Ops.
