Very good port of a very good game, should definetly be on the P

The game itself is a port of PSU and PSU:AOTI, featuring a single player mode with multiple endings and ad-hoc mode for up to 4 players and a couple of modified content. The synthesis of items was completely removed, being a huge timesink very dependent on the MMO nature of the first games. Also, item drop rates seem to have been improved for a more leisurely play style, without having to grind endlessly for a good pair of pistols or sabers.
The port of the game was really well made in my opinion. The game visuals looks very good, the sound quality is great and the controls feel so natural that anyone would think the game was made for the PSP in the first place. There are a couple slowdowns happening when there are a lot of stuff on the screen, like 4 players on ad-hoc mode alongside many enemies, but I dont think its enough to hinder the game enjoyment a single bit.
If you're already familiar with the series or if you enjoy hack'n'slash, dungeon crawling and RPG games, I can't recommend this title enough.

It's a strange thing this game is not on the Playstation Store yet, but I really hope SEGA will put it there, so more people (specially PSP GO owners) can enjoy this awesome game.

Why is this not on the Playstation Store

My son and myself have the UMD version, however we also have a PSPgo in the house now, and there isn't a digital distribution of this title on PSN...

For those of you that do not have this title, I highly recommend it. For those of you that are long time Phantasy Star patrons, like myself, this edition cleaned up a lot of the annoying parts of Phantasy Star Universe. You have virtually all of the PSU: AotI content and then some, with a new storyline and characters. Very Nice addition to the PSU franchise (Not PSO but PSU)... please add this to the Playstation Store soon.

Nice, but...

Nice game for psp, precisely this system lack rpg's (NOT STRATEGY, I HATE THEM ._.), but turns sort of doing this an that eeeevery time, like repeating the sequence all over again. Anyway is a nice game to play.

Phantasy Star Online Good game

Well this game was pretty good, I played the demo which was the Japanese version and it was pretty good. I like the game play and the graphics is alright but it's like kinda the fighting style. You know the one, two, three attack style, well it could have a little bit more moves but I give it a 9.

Worth the money

The second I played this game I was addicted to it. This game is my personal favorite. If anybody plans to buy this game, they need to know that this game is worth the money. BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this game is sort of cool when you play it but when you HAVE to watch it everyday it is weird and i change my mind about the commet before this if its still there

very nice

i downloaded the demo for this game and it is very fun. the character design was honestly suprising at how many variables there were. the only problem i had was that sometimes your party members would just stand there and let you take the beating and not fight at all and the guns were a bit so so. i did not like the fact any time someone talked to you it would take you to a still screan and make you read i think it could have used some actualy character interation but overal this seems like a very solid title.

One of the Best Games for PSP

I played the demo and it was awsome. Didn't give me enough of the story as it cut short in the demo, but I just loved the multiplayer. Played with three other friends to make it more fun. I got the actual game and it just how the demo was; gives you more of what you wanted from phantasy star series. If you played the original for the dreamcast you might be disappointed by the lack of online play, but at least there is ad-hoc. The story and endings are good enough to play another time through. Beating the game allows you to start a new but with your current character powered up and all, so you are able to see a different ending. So many weapons and clothes makes it a good game to keep playing if you what to be the best.
