An Experience

by Vitality2k2 Dec 22, 2009, 8:24 PM PST

I reminisce from my experiences playing this game late at night right before bed as I do the best adventure games I've ever played (the zeldas, bioshock, fallout 3). Playing flOw with headphones on held me in a constant trance completely unaware of my surroundings. The replay value of this game is incredible as well, I will continue to play it for as long as my PSP remains operable.

The game was only 8 bucks, I'll play it over and over, and every time I'll be completely swept into its imagery and soundscapes in a very relaxing meditative state. I love it ( I've had it since it came out). Criticizing it's length can only be a testament to it's quality, those who play it don't want it to end. But, in truth, you can continue playing without much of a loss over and over.

I have it for the PSP, and I think that is the ideal way to experience it. You can crawl up in bed in a dark room and fall asleep with it. Sitting on a couch with a TV I can't imagine it being as deep of an experience.

Highly recommended for adventure-game lovers

A Game WIth A Style Of It's Own

by dualshock22-F3 Oct 3, 2009, 11:25 AM PDT

This game was a good game, it wasn't bad it wasn't good. It was an amazing experience though...now lets get on with my review. The graphics have it's own kind of unique style, it's cross between 2-D and 3-D, but has that kind of weird graphics setup like the puzzle game Echochrome. But they graphics are stunning once you get to a certain point, but the graphics could've been a lot more better than what they are now. The sound was good, but it wasn't really music that was playing, which meant that the sound effects suffered deeply, and the BGM wasn't quite that great. The animation and unique distinctive design was what i loved the most out of the whole game. The design and animation was perfect it truly captured the design and the "flOw" of the game. The gameplay wasn't the best I've ever played but it was very close, the thing about leveling up was that you wouldn't know about it until you saw it, the creature is small at first, then grows bigger in time with the food it eats which gives the that certain feel that is close to real life as possible. Well thats my review!

Disney's Fantasia and Pink Floyd combined meet a video game.

by KingYakko Aug 20, 2009, 10:54 AM PDT

flOw on the PSP is a pretty good game. It's the result of Disney's Fantasia and Pink Floyd combined meet a video game. The game, however, shouldn't be $8. It should be at least $4 at best. The game can be addicting for some. Anyone that has a PSP or PS3 might get something out of it. I'd play this game if you don't have anything else to do.

Relaxing, but Disappointing

by Babkockdood Aug 9, 2009, 1:38 PM PDT

I bought flOw for eight dollars on the PS Store. It should be free. I've played demos that are longer than that. The game is simple, the graphics are good, but at what cost? You swim around and eat stuff. The more stuff you eat, the bigger you get. 30 minutes later, you're on the credits level. It's relaxing and stress relieving, like an electronic lava lamp. But unfortunatly, it gets boring after a while. Three stars for effort.
