PlayStation®2 30000 - 50000 Series / HDD

Deleting Saved Game Data

Internal hard disk drive (40GB) (for PlayStation®2) (HDD) installation will change the way you store and manage saved game data on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. The biggest change is the addition of folders that can be used to store saved game data on the HDD. The HDD also changes the options you have for handling data on a memory card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2).

NOTE: Deleting saved game data will completely erase it from your HDD or from a memory card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2). Proceed with caution as it might not be possible to recover saved game data after it has been deleted.

To delete saved game data:

  1. Turn on the PlayStation®2 system and make sure the disc tray is empty.
  2. Select Browser from the Main Menu and press X Btn.
  3. Select the saved game data you want to delete.
    • If the game data is on a memory card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2), highlight the browser icon for that card and press X Btn to view the card's contents.
    • If the game data is in the HDD, select the HDD browser icon and press X Btn. Highlight the folder where your saved game data is located and press X Btn to view that folder's contents.
