The HDD unit may not be installed in the PlayStation®2 computer
entertainment system properly. Please see
Install the HDD. Try reinstalling the HDD.

There may be a problem with the data in the folder or the
PlayStation®2 format software. Try using the Diagnose and Repair
HDD utility. Please see Diagnose and Repair HDD.
If the installation of the DVD Player software fails:Back to top
The SCPH-10020 U memory card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2) may not be
inserted properly. Insert a memory card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2)
into memory card slot 1 on the front of the PlayStation®2 system.
There may not be enough free space on the memory card (8MB)
(for PlayStation®2). The memory card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2)
must have at least 2,200KB of free space for the DVD Player software
to be installed. Erase any unnecessary data from the memory card.
