Using the HDD Utility Disc

Controls & Main Menu

1. Insert the internal hard disk drive (40GB) (for PlayStation�2) (HDD) Utility CD-ROM into the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and close the disc tray.
2. A screen will appear listing the controls for navigating the HDD Utility Disc. Press to bypass this screen.
   
3. The HDD Utility Disc's main menu will appear.
4. Highlight one of the following options and press :
   • Optimize HDD
   • Diagnose and Repair HDD
   • Format HDD
   • Install HDD Software
   • Install DVD Player (latest version)
   • Quit
