Make sure the controller is connected to the PlayStation®2
computer entertainment system.
Make sure you are using an officially licensed PlayStation®2
DUALSHOCK®2 controller by looking for the official
PlayStation® logo. SCEA cannot guarantee the quality of
unlicensed peripherals.
NOTE: An original DUALSHOCK® controller may not function
properly with the PlayStation®2 system and
PlayStation®2 discs.
Static electricity and other factors may affect the operation of
peripherals, such as controllers. Turn off the MAIN POWER switch
and then turn it back on.
If possible, test the controller on another PlayStation®2.
If the controller does not function properly, it might need
to be replaced.
If the controller does function properly, the original
PlayStation®2 might need repairs. Please see
"How to Obtain Service".

Check the software package to see if it contains a vibration
function icon. If the package does not have the icon, the vibration
function will not work with the software.
If the package does have the vibration function icon, verify that
the vibration function has been enabled in the on-screen options. If
the vibration function has not been enabled, turn it on.
Make sure the analog mode is enabled. Press the analog button on
the controller to toggle between digital and analog modes.
