Disc Tray Troubleshooting

  • Make sure the AC power cord is securely connected.
  • The PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system may not be turned on. Turn on the PlayStation®2 using the MAIN POWER switch on the back of system.
  • The disc tray might need to be realigned on its track. To try to realign the disc tray:
    1. Place one hand on the front of the disc tray and gently press against the tray while pressing the open button.
    2. If you feel the tray start to open, remove your hand and see if the tray will extend out to the fully open position.
    3. Press the open button again to close the disc tray.

  • The disc tray might need to be realigned on its track. To try to realign the disc tray:
    1. Gently push against the front of the tray to see if it will retract into the closed position.
    2. If the tray closes, press the open button to check if it is realigned on its track.
