If the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system does not function properly: Back to top

  • Static electricity and other factors may affect the system's operation. Turn off the main power switch and unplug the AC power cord from the electrical outlet. Then plug the system back into the outlet and turn it back on.

If the indicator light flashes red and the PlayStation®2 system doesn't work: Back to top

  • Do not use the system until the flashing stops. Make sure the system isn't in an extremely hot location and that the system's vents are not blocked. If the system's internal temperature is raised, it might not function properly.

If the PlayStation®2 system makes noises or shakes: Back to top

  • This is normal. PlayStation®2 discs load at a higher speed than PlayStation® discs, which can cause increased noise or vibration.
