Power Troubleshooting

  • The PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system is not turned on. Turn on the system using the MAIN POWER switch on the back of the system.
  • Make sure the AC power cord is securely connected.
  • Visually inspect the AC power cord for damage.
  • If possible, test the power cord by connecting it to another PlayStation®2 system.

Unplug the AC power cord from the electrical outlet. The power is not completely turned off when the system is in standby mode.
