Playing a CD

To play a CD on your PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system: Back to top


  1. Press the on/standby/RESET button on the front of your PlayStation®2 to turn on the system. Make sure the indicator light turns green.
  2. Press the open button on the front of the PlayStation®2 system to open the disc tray.
  3. Place a CD in the disc tray, label side up, then press the open button again to close the tray.
  4. The track numbers will appear on the screen.
  5. Use the directional buttons to highlight a track number and press X Btn to start the song.

  1. Using the directional buttons, highlight the SELECT/stop button then press X Btn.
  2. The CD will stop.
  3. Press the open button on the front of the PlayStation®2 system to remove the CD.
