Changing Play Modes on a CD

To choose a different play mode:

  1. Press the on/standby/RESET button on the front of your PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system to turn on the system. Make sure the indicator light turns green.
  2. The main menu screen will appear.

    NOTE: It might take some time for the main menu screen to appear.


  3. Use the directional buttons to highlight Browser, then press Triangle Btn.
  4. Highlight the audio CD icon and press Triangle Btn.
  5. Highlight Play Mode or Repeat and press X Btn:
    • Play Mode: specifies the order in which the tracks on the CD will be played
    • Repeat: specifies which tracks on the CD will be repeated
  6. If you select Play Mode, highlight a setting:
    • Normal: plays tracks as recorded on the CD
    • Program: plays tracks in a specified order
    • Shuffle: plays tracks in a random order
  7. If you select Repeat, highlight a setting:
    • Off: does not play the CD repeatedly
    • All: plays all tracks repeatedly
    • 1: plays one track repeatedly
  8. Press X Btn.
  9. If you select Program under Play Mode, a screen will appear allowing you to choose the order of the tracks.
  10. Press Circle Btn to go back to the Browser screen.
  11. Highlight the audio CD icon and press X Btn.
  12. Highlight a track on the CD and press X Btn to begin playback.
