PlayStation®2 30000 - 50000 Series / Network Adaptor
Connecting to a Wireless Router
If running network cables through the house isn't convenient, you might want to
set up a wireless network using a wireless router.
To connect the network adaptor (Ethernet/modem) (for PlayStation®2) to a wireless router:
- Install the network adaptor in the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system.
For instructions, see Installing the Network Adaptor.
- Remove the sticker covering the network connector on the network adaptor and plug an Ethernet network cable in the connector labeled "NETWORK".
- Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable to a wireless Ethernet bridge.
- Connect the WAN port of the wireless router to the DSL or cable modem.
- Connect a personal computer to the router. Use a web browser on the PC to set up the router to access the Internet.
- Plug the AC power cord for the PlayStation®2 into a working electrical outlet.
- Turn on the system and load the Network Adaptor Start-up Disc came with the network adaptor.
- Register the network adaptor. See Register the network adaptor.
- Create a network configuration. See Create a network configuration.
