Turning the PSP® On and Off

To turn the PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system ON: Back to top


Slide the power/hold switch, located on the right side of the PSP®, up and release. The PSP® will power up.


To turn the PSP® OFF: Back to top


Slide the power/hold switch, located on the right side of the PSP, up and hold for two seconds. The PSP® will shut down.




NOTES:

  • Turn the PSP® off when it will not be used for an extended period of time.
  • To use the sleep mode feature that allows you to automatically conserve power. For more information, see Using Sleep and Hold Modes.
  • When not in use for an extended period of time, remove the battery pack. For more information, see Using the Battery Pack.
