Using the Video Control Panel

While a movie/video is playing, press Triangle button at any time to display the video control.

To clear the video control panel at any time, press the Triangle button or Circle button buttons.

  1. While a movie/video is playing, press Triangle button at any time to display the video control.
  2. Select one of the following option icons, and press X button:
    • Display icon (Display): Display the playback status and related information.
      • The playback status of the movie/video will appear.

        Playback Status

      • To clear the playback status display, select the Display icon again and press X button.


    • Screen Mode icon (Screen Mode): Change the size of the on-screen image.

      Each time X button is pressed, the screen mode will change as follows:

      • Normal: The image adjusts to fit the PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system screen size.
      • Zoom: The image is shown at full screen size without changing proportions, which will crop the top and bottom or left and right of the image.
      • Full Screen: The image is shown at full screen size by changing proportions and zooming in horizontally or vertically.
      • Original: The image is shown at its original size.
      • 4:3: An image recorded in 16:9 aspect ratio and displayed in 4:3.


    • Go To icon (Go To): Start playback from a selected scene.

            1. Select the item that you want to set, for example, chapter or time, and press X button.
            2. Use the directional buttons to specify the number for the chapter or the time and press X button.
            3. The specified section will start to play.



    • UMD Volume icon (UMD Volume): Adjust the UMD™ (Universal Media Disc) Video volume.

      Each time X button is pressed, the volume will change as follows:

      • +1: The volume is raised a level.
      • +2: The volume is raised to the maximum level.
      • Normal: The default volume set in the UMD™ Video is used.


    • Fast Reverse/Fast Forward icon (Fast Reverse/Foward) or Slow Motion icon (Slow Motion): Fast-reverse, fast-forward, or slow playback.
      • To return to normal playback, select the Play icon and press X button.


    • Repeat Icon (Repeat): Play the entire movie/video, or one chapter repeatedly.

      Each time X button is pressed, the repeat mode will change as follows:

      • Disc Repeat: Play the entire movie/video repeatedly.
      • Chapter Repeat: Play the specified chapter repeatedly.
      • Repeat Off: End repeat playback.


    • A-B Repeat Icon (A-B Repeat): Play a specific section of movie/video repeatedly.
      • At the beginning of the section of the movie/video you want to repeat, select that the A-B Repeat icon and press X button. The starting point (point A) will be set.
      • At the end of the section of video you want to repeat, press X button. The ending point (point B) will be set.
      • The specified section of the movie/video will start to play repeatedly.
      • To return to normal playback, select the A-B icon again and press X button.


  3. To clear the video control panel, press the Triangle button or Circle button buttons.


Notes:
  • The chapter option of the Repeat feature is not available when you are viewing video saved on a Memory Stick Duo™.
  • The UMD™ Video Volume setting is cleared when the UMD™ Video is ejected. To set the volume permanently, use the UMD™ Video Volume setting in the Video Settings menu.
  • The only repeat options available for videos saved on a Memory Stick Duo™ are Repeat On and Repeat Off.
