Inserting and Removing a Memory Stick Duo™
Warning: Keep Memory Stick Duo™ media out of the reach of small children, as it could be swallowed by accident.
To insert a Memory Stick Duo™: Back to top
- Open the slot cover for the Memory Stick Duo™
located on the left side of the PSP® (PlayStation® Portable)
system.
- With the printed side facing out, slide the Memory Stick Duo™ into the slot in the direction of the arrow printed on the Memory Stick Duo™.
- Press the Memory Stick Duo™ until fully inserted.
- Slide the slot cover back into its original position.

- Make sure that the Memory Stick Duo™ access
indicator located on the lower left of the system is not lit.
NOTE: Do not eject a Memory Stick Duo™ while the PSP® is loading data from or saving data to the Memory Stick Duo™ because this may cause data loss or corruption.
- Open the slot cover for the Memory Stick Duo™.
- Press the Memory Stick Duo™ and then release to eject it from the system.
