Enabling Flash® Content

The Enable Flash Player setting under System Settings is required to allow Macromedia® Flash® content to display on the PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system internet browser.


You must be connected to the internet and have a network connection set up in Infrastructure Mode to use this setting. For instructions on Infrastructure Mode, see Setting up Infrastructure Mode.

To enable Flash® internet content:

  1. Make sure your PSP® is connected to the internet. For instructions, see Get Started Using the Internet Browser.
  2. Select Settings Icon (Settings) from the home menu.
  3. Select System Settings Icon (System Settings) and press X Icon.
  4. Select Enable Flash Player and follow the on-screen instructions for enabling Flash®.

Note: PSP® online connectivity requires internet service and network devices, such as a DSL or cable modem and a wireless router - for example, a Wi-Fi hotspot at a café or a wireless local area network (WLAN) in your home.
