Make sure the peripheral is an officially licensed
PlayStation® product by looking for the official PlayStation®
logo. SCEA cannot guarantee the quality of unlicensed peripherals.
Make sure the peripheral is securely connected to the
PlayStation® game console.
Static electricity and other factors may affect the operation
of peripherals. Turn off the main power switch and then turn it back
on.
If possible, test the peripheral on another PlayStation®
console.
If the controller does not function properly, the controller
might need to be replaced.
If the controller does function properly, the PlayStation® console
might need repairs. Please see How to Obtain Service.
If the vibration function of
the analog controller (DUALSHOCK®) does not work:Back to top
Check the software package to see if it contains a vibration
function icon. If the package does not have the icon, the vibration
function will not work with this software.
If the package does have the vibration function icon, make
sure the vibration function has been enabled in the on-screen options.
If the vibration function has not been enabled, turn it on.
