Make sure the PlayStation® game console and TV are turned on and
that they are securely connected using the AV cable
(integrated audio/video) or RFU adaptor. See

for help with set up.
Visually check to make sure the AC power cord is not damaged.
Make sure you have selected the correct video input and
channel on your TV or VCR.
Make sure the disc is inserted correctly, with the label side up.

The disc might need cleaning. To clean the disc:
Use the small, circular pads made specifically for cleaning discs sold at most music or computer software stores.
If you do not have a cleaning pad, you can use a dry, lint-free cloth.
NOTE: Other materials, such as paper towels or a T-shirt, might
scratch the disc. If there are any scratches, smudges, or
fingerprints on the disc, it might not function properly.
The console might be unstable. Place the console on a flat, stable surface and do not allow it to shake or vibrate.
