Einhander

Q:Why can’t I save my progress in the game?

A: Einhander does NOT save progress in the game. It will save all gun-pods obtained throughout the game, high-scores, secret characters, and gallery pictures. The main advantage to saving is you'll be able to choose one of your saved gun-pods as your default weapon each time you play. The more gun-pods you collect and save, the more weapons you'll have to choose from when you start a game.

Saving

Einhander saves automatically after your game is over. The game WILL NOT SAVE if you exit from the pause menu. You will also need to have your created data file previously loaded before starting a game. If this is the first time playing the game, make sure you create a data file in the File Options menu. If for some reason the data file did not load while the game was loading, then you must load the data file in the File Options menu. Select "Title" & Select "Yes" to exit back to the main menu without saving.

Create Data File

You must create a data file in order to save your game. Select "Create Data File" in the "File Options" menu. Enter a name and select "End". If your memory card is unformatted, you'll be prompted to format format it. Press the X button to create the file. The name entered should then appear on the Title Screen bellow the menu selection. You can create up to 5 different data files.

Discard Data File

You can delete a created data file. The file will disappear from the screen immediately after pressing the X button, but the change won’t take effect until you press s to exit and press X to verify.

Data Load

If you insert a memory card into your PlayStation® before you turn it on, the data file will be loaded automatically when you turn the PlayStation on. If the game does not detect a memory card, or if the memory card doesn’t have a previous save, then a warning message will appear on the screen. The data file will be automatically saved when the game is over.

You can also access this option to manually load Einhander data files from the memory card:

1. Select the file you want to use at the title screen.

2. Press Down on the D-pad to move the cursor down to the name of the data file.

3. Press Left\Right on the D-pad to select the file you want to use.
