How to Save at any point during Simulation Mode

(except in the middle of a race, which is impossible).

First, you must return to the GT2 title screen (if you're already there, skip to step 3.) Press the triangle button repeatedly until you return to the GT World screen (this is where you can select from North, South, East and West Cities).

Highlight the "running man" icon in the lower, right-hand corner of the GT World screen, and then press the X button to return to the Simulation Mode title screen.

On the title screen, scroll down to "Save Game" and press the X button.

Highlight "Slot 1" or "Slot 2," depending on which slot you memory card is in, and press the X button.

If there is already a GT2 game file on the selected memory card that, you will be asked, "Do you want to overwrite?" To replace that save with your current game data, highlight "Yes" and press the X button to begin saving.

After the game is saved, highlight "Exit" and press the X button to return to the title screen. Select "Start Game" and press the X button to return to your game in progress.

Saving after a race in Simulation mode

1. Immediately after a race, press the X button to view a replay of the race. To exit this replay, press the Start button, then select "Exit" and press the X button.

2. You should now view the Results screen. Press the X button to advance to the Bonus screen.

3. The words "Save Game?" will appear at the bottom of the Bonus screen, where you receive cash prizes after a race. Highlight the word "Save" and press the X button.

4. Highlight "Slot 1" or "Slot 2," depending on which slot you memory card is in, and press the X button.

5. If there is already a GT2 game file on the selected memory card that, you will be asked, "Do you want to overwrite?" To replace that save with your current game data, highlight "Yes" and press the X button to begin saving.

6. After the game is saved, highlight "Exit" and press the X button to return to your game in progress.

Auto Loading

If your memory card is inserted into slot 1 before the PlayStation®'s power is turned on, then the GT2 data on that card will automatically load. Simply select "Start Game" at the title screen to continue the loaded game.

Manual Loading

1. Back out to the GT2 title screen (where the "Start Game" option appears).

2. Scroll down to "Load Game" and press the X button.

3. Highlight "Slot 1" or "Slot 2" depending on where your memory card is inserted.

4. When the question "Start Loading?" appears, highlight "Yes" and press the X button to begin loading.

Saving your game in Arcade Mode

At any time you wish (except during a race) press your triangle button to back out to the main menu of the game. Scroll down with your directional pad to the "Save Game" option, and press the X button. You may then choose which slot you would like to save to, and press the X button to confirm the save.
