How to Save

You must have a memory card in slot 1 in order to save this game. You may save up to 5 games to a memory card. Whether you have one save or five saves, only one memory card block will be used. Callers who want more than five saved games will have to use a second memory card.

1. When you see the words, "Save Game?" followed by a question mark, highlight the word' "Yes" and press the X button.

2. After the PlayStation® reads your memory card, you must select a file to save onto. Highlight the word, Empty and press the X button to create a new save file.

3. Rather than create a new save file, you may also choose to overwrite a previously saved Colin McRae Rally game. First, highlight the name of the Colin McRae Rally save file that you wish to save over, and then press the X button. When asked if you are sure you want to overwrite, highlight "Yes and press the X button again to save.

How to Load

1. Insert a memory card with saved Colin McRae Rally data on it into memory card slot 1.

2. On the Main Menu, highlight the word' "Load" and press the X button.

3. After the PlayStation has read your memory card, highlight the name of your saved game file and press the X button to continue your game in Championship mode. (To play other modes, simply quit the game after loading to return to the Main Menu.)

Q: When can I Save?

A: There are a few different points when you can save the game:

• After completing certain races in Championship Mode, you may be offered the chance to save your game. How often you can save depends on which difficulty level you're playing at:

• In Novice difficulty level, you can save after every race.

• In Intermediate & Expert difficulties, you can save after every other race.

• The game will also offer you the chance to save if you set new track records in any mode.

• When you quit a game in any mode, you will get an opportunity to save if you have made progress that changes your game data (for example: setting a new track record or beating a rally.)

• You can also save the game from Options the Main Menu. Once in the Options menu, highlight Save Data" and press the X button.

Q: Why can't I Continue my game? or Why do I always seem to get a new game when I Continue?

A: Because this isn’t the correct way to load a saved game. Return to the Main Menu and select "Load." After your memory card is read by the PlayStation, highlight you’re the name of your saved file and press the X button to continue your game in progress.
