NCAA GameBreaker 2001

Here you can save your season, save your settings, save your graduating seniors, load your season, load your settings, delete your files, and switch between memory card slots one and two.

Saving your Season (303 KB units for Season Save)

Highlight and select Memory Card from the main menu. Here you can save your progress in a Bowl Season, Tournament Season or Career Mode.

Highlight "Save Game" and press "X". You will be prompted to enter a name for you save file. Press Up/Down on the D-Pad to change the characters and Left/Right on the D-Pad to switch between characters.

Press "X" when you are finished to save your game.

Saving your Settings

Here you can save all the customized options for your game. Highlight "Save Game" and press Up/Down on the D-Pad until you see the option "Save Settings" and press "X". You will be prompted to enter a name for you save file. Press Up/Down on the D-Pad to change the characters and Left/Right on the D-Pad to switch between characters. Press "X" when you are finished to save your settings.

Loading your Season

Highlight "Load Game" and press "X". You will be taken to a screen allowing you to select which Gamebreaker 2000 season you would like to load. Highlight the season of choice and press "X". Hit "Triangle" to return to the main menu. Select "Play Game" and "Continue Season" to proceed with your season play.

Loading your Settings

Highlight "Load Game" and press Up/Down on the D-Pad until you see the option "Load Settings" and press "X". You will be taken to a screen allowing you to select which Gamebreaker 2000 settings you would like to load. Highlight the settings of choice and press "X".

Deleting your Files

You cannot overwrite old Gamebreaker 2001 files. If you do not have enough space available on your Memory Card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2), you must delete files to create space. Highlight "Delete" and press "X". Select which file you would like to delete and press "X". If you are sure, highlight "Yes" and press "X".

Saving your Seniors (requires 153 KB units)

Here you can save your graduating seniors to load them onto Gameday 2000. Highlight "Save Game" and press Up/Down on the D-Pad until you see the option "Save Seniors" and press "X". You will be prompted to enter a name for you save file. Press Up/Down on the D-Pad to change the characters and Left/Right on the D-Pad to switch between characters. Press "X" when you are finished to save your seniors.

Saving your Playbook (requires 109 KB units)

You cannot do this from the memory card screen that you access on the main menu. After you customize your playbook, save your play routes, and quit the play editor, you will be asked to save your playbook. Highlight "Save Playbook" and "X". You will be prompted to enter a name for you save file. Press Up/Down on the D-Pad to change the characters and Left/Right on the D-Pad to switch between characters. Press "X" when you are finished to save your playbook.

Loading your Playbook

To do more editing:

You cannot do this from the memory card screen that you access on the main menu. You must go into the "Customize" option from the main menu. On the Customize menu, select "Custom Playbook". The next screen should be full of text. Press the "Circle" button and you will be taken to a screen allowing you to select which Gamebreaker 2000 playbook you would like to load. Highlight the playbook of choice and press "X". You will go straight to the "Play Editor" so you can make changes to your playbook.

To use it during gameplay:

For Scrimmage and Fantasy League modes

Select "Play Game" from the main menu and choose either "Scrimmage" or "Fantasy League". On the "Team Matchup" screen, press "Circle" twice to bring up the advanced options where you can choose your team color and playbook. Press Left/Right on the D-Pad and highlight "Balanced" on the playbook bar under the team you want to use. Press Up/Down on the D-Pad until the option "Custom" appears and press "X" button and you will be taken to a screen allowing you to select which Gamebreaker 2000 playbook you would like to load. Highlight the playbook of choice and press "X".

For Bowl Season, Tournament Season, and Career Mode

select "Play Game" from the main menu and choose either "Bowl Season", "Tournament Season" or "Career Mode". Select your team and press "X". Press "X" again from the schedule to enter the advanced options where you can choose your team color and playbook. . Press Left/Right on the D-Pad and highlight "Balanced" on the playbook bar under the team you want to use. Press Up/Down on the D-Pad until the option "Custom" appears and press "X" button and you will be taken to a screen allowing you to select which Gamebreaker 2000 playbook you would like to load. Highlight the playbook of choice and press "X".

Saving your Teams (requires 117 KB units)

You cannot do this from the memory card screen that you access on the main menu. After you change your rosters through either Blue Chip Recruiting or creating a player, select "Athletic Dept" from the main menu. Highlight the option "Load/Save Teams" and press "X". Highlight "Save Team", press "X" and you will be prompted to enter a name for you save file. Press Up/Down on the D-Pad to change the characters and Left/Right on the D-Pad to switch between characters. Press "X" when you are finished to save your team.

Loading your Teams

You cannot do this from the memory card screen that you access on the main menu. Select "Athletic Dept" from the main menu, highlight the option "Load/Save Teams" and press "X". Highlight "Load Team" and "X". You will be taken to a screen allowing you to select which Gamebreaker 2000 team you would like to load. Highlight the team of choice and press "X".
