Saving your progress

Saving during a game (different types). Saving after a game. Loading from main menu. Loading from options.

Before you are able to save your progress in Hot Shots Golf 3, you must create Play Data from the game's title screen. To create your Play Data, insert a MEMORY CARD (8MB) (for PlayStation 2) with 800 KB or more free space into Memory Card slot 1. Then select "NEW GAME (Create Play Data)" from the title screen. Choose a file to record your data, then create a file name. Enter your name and select OK. Note: You may save up to 5 different play data profiles on one Memory Card.

To Save Your Progress Following the Completion of a Game

After holing out on a game, choose "Save and Exit" after calculating your points. Select the file you would like to save your game to, then press the X button. Confirm the overwriting of the previously stored data to finalize the saving of your progress.

To Save Your Progress while in the Middle of a Game

In between holes during a game you will see the word "Interrupt" in the lower-right corner of the scorecard screen. Press the Select button to interrupt the game and save it to a designated file. After choosing the file, select yes, then choose the profile you would like the interrupted game to be saved to. Overwrite the data to save your interrupted game. Note: You are allowed to interrupt a game just one time in every mode but the National Tournament, where no interruptions are allowed.

Loading Your Saved Progress

Choose "Continue" from the Hot Shots Golf 3 title screen. On the loading screen, point to the save profile that you would like to load and press the X button. Select "yes" to confirm the loading of the correct file to advance to the game's main menu.

Loading an Interrupted Game

To continue an interrupted game, choose "continue" from the main menu. Point to the game that you would like to resume and press the X button. Selecting YES will resume that game from the point where it was interrupted. Note: You are allowed to interrupt a game just one time in every mode but the National Tournament, where no interruptions are allowed.
