Saving Information

You must insert your MEMORY CARD (8MB) (for PlayStation®2) before you save or load a file. World Tour Soccer 2002 saves user-defined options and all data for Competitions, Settings, and Profiles. 157KB-351KB of memory must be available on your MEMORY CARD 98MB) (for PlayStation 2) in order to save Competition data, 242KB-358KB are needed for Settings data, and 108KB of memory is needed to save profiles. If you don't use a MEMORY CARD (8MB) (for PlayStation 2), all World Tour Soccer 2002 data will be lost when you turn OFF your PlayStation 2 console.

Saving your Profile

When playing World Tour Soccer for the first time, you will be asked to create a new profile for your game. This profile will be associated with all of your saved data beyond this point. Choose Create New Profile and enter your name. Highlight OK and press X to create your profile.

Saving a Competition

After playing a game in any one of the competitions (National Season, Special Competitions, and International Competition), choose Save Progress from the Season Homepage. When asked to confirm your save, select yes to complete the procedure.

Saving your Settings

After changing any of your settings in the options menu, you can then save these changes onto your MEMORY CARD (8MB) (for PlayStation 2). You may then load these settings the next time you start a game and these new settings will be in effect. To save your settings, from the Options Menu, highlight Load/Save and press X. On the following screen, scroll down to Save Settings and press X. When asked to confirm your save, select yes to complete the procedure.

Loading your Profile

If you have a MEMORY CARD (8MB) (for PlayStation 2) with a previously saved profile inserted in your PlayStation 2 when you begin the game, you will automatically be prompted to load your profile. Choose the profile name that you would like to load and press the X button. You may also load your profile from the Load/Save screen under the Options Menu. Choose Open Different Profile, highlight the profile you would like to load and press X.

Loading your Competition

Enter the Options menu and choose the Load/Save option. On the Load/Save screen, highlight Load Competition and press X. Choose the file that you would like to load and press X to load your competition.

Loading your Settings

Enter the Options menu and choose the Load/Save option. On the Load/Save screen, highlight Load Settings and press X to automatically load your saved settings.
