Peripheral Troubleshooting

If experiencing problems with PS one™ peripherals, such as controllers:

  • Make sure the peripheral is an officially licensed PlayStation® product by looking for the official PlayStation® logo. SCEA cannot guarantee the quality of unlicensed peripherals.
  • Make sure the peripheral is securely connected to the PS one™ console.
  • Static electricity and other factors may affect the operation of peripherals. Turn off the main power switch and then turn it back on.
  • If possible, test the peripheral on another PS one™ console.
    • If the controller does not function properly, the controller might need to be replaced.
    • If the controller does function properly, the PS one™ console might need repairs. Please see How to Obtain Service.
